AP Region Unity Pin Design Competition 2025
Calling all Girl Guides and Girl Scouts under the age of 18 from
the Asia Pacific Region!
Showcase your creativity and design skills to create a pin for the Asia Pacific Region and get a chance to have your design on as a fundraising pin for the region!
Theme
Together We Thrive
Eligibility:
- A Girl Guide or Girl Scout under the age of 18 on submission deadline (i.e. 8 March 2025).
- A member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) Asia Pacific Region Member Organisation (MO).
Criteria:
- This is an individual competition.
- MO endorsement is needed.
- The Winner, First Runner-Up, and Second Runner-Up will be awarded.
The winning design will be produced as the limited-edition Asia Pacific Region Unity Pin 2025. Please note that due to the nature of metal pin production, the submitted design may be altered and adapted by WAGGGS Asia Pacific Region for the final product.
Judging Criteria:
- Concept & Relevance – 40%
- Originality & Creativity – 40%
Practicality – 20%
Design Specifications:
- The pin design must be inspired by or relevant to Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting, Asia Pacific Region, and the theme “Together We Thrive”.
- Participants can use any software or hand-drawn techniques to create a design.
- At least two of WAGGGS colours below must be incorporated in the design and up to 5 colors should be used including the WAGGGS colours:
- Blue #2A255E
- Yellow #FFDA00
- Teal #50B6B7
- Text: Aptos or Georgia, with a minimum font size of 5 pt.
- The design should be easily replicated to a 1” x 1” sized pin.
Submissions:
- Entry must be submitted via this link by Saturday, 8 March 2025 at 23:59 UTC.
- Entry must be submitted in digitised format (PDF), in full colour using A4 paper size entry form provided.
- By entering the competition, the participants declare that the designs submitted are their original work and have not been submitted to any other competition.
